New Haven--Archbishop Henry J. Mansell greets the Dietz family (St. Mary's Baltic) following the annual Pro-Life Mass he celebrated Jan. 15th at St. Mary Parish that that is sponsored by the Connecticut Knights of Columbus Council. Shown from left is Felicitas, dad Bryce and mom Dinah holding baby Joachim who is closely watched by Zelie and Augustine, and Tzietel and Xavier standing next to mom. During his homily during which he recalled the 39th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v Wade decision, Archbishop Mansell thanked those gathered for their work on behalf of life and urged the faithful to continue their call to "change hearts." A reception and collection of baby items to be distributed to area pregnancy care centers followed in the parish hall.
