Eighth graders at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Meriden received iPads on Sept. 14 to use for the school year. The 24 students will use their new iPad2 devices in school only, and in almost every subject area.The school purchased the devices with funds that it raised last year by hosting the Silver City Brew Fest. The project was spearheaded by Carolyn Daniels, who teaches several subjects and is the school's director of technology.
