More than 950 people – the biggest turnout ever – shared a morning meal and real or borrowed Irish heritage at the Archbishop's Annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast on March 17 at the Connecticut Convention Center. Retired Navy Adm. William Fallon, the top United States military commander for Iraq and Afghanistan until March 2008, was the keynote speaker. The event is a fund-raiser for the Archdiocese of Hartford's Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools, which supports archdiocesan schools primarily through scholarship assistance and occasionally through special projects. This year's breakfast raised more than $130,000. More photo IDs to come. (Photos by Lenora Sumsky)
