Archbishop Leonard P. Blair speaks during a Mass on May 26 celebrating the 150th anniversary of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Concelebrants were Father Jorge Castro, pastor; Father Kingsley Ihejerika, parochial vicar of the parish; Father John Georgia, pastor of Resurrection Parish in Wallingford; and Father Michael J. Dolan, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Hamden and dean of the 16-parish deanery that includes Most Holy Trinity.
The reception that followed featured entertainment provided by the Academy of New England Mariachi Band, which includes youth from the parish. The actual date of the parish’s anniversary falls on August 16, 2019. Father Castro says the Mass with Archbishop Blair kicks off a year full of anniversary festivities that will conclude with a gala in September at Anthony’s Ocean View Restaurant.
